I'm Steve Hall and thanks for taking the time to look through our website. I own and operate Backwoods Taxidermy, a full time taxidermy studio, located in Southwest Michigan. My love for outdoor sporting activities got me started in the taxidermy industry.

I have attended numerous seminars and hands-on classes given by some of the best taxidermists in the industry, many of whom are world champions. I have also competed in several state competitions held in Grand Rapids, Michigan. My first year I received two first place ribbons for Whitetail shoulder mounts in the novice division, and so far in the professional division I've won two second place ribbons.


Between the seminars, classes, competitions, and hundreds of customer mounts I know about quality workmanship. It's no wonder my customers have come to expect quality, and that's what I strive for with each mount.
